Children’s Sewing Class – Tuesdays

This is a 4 week after-school program for children age 8 to 12.

Sewing has so many benefits to young people. Sewing skills include measuring, fractions, geometry, problem solving and gain self confidence as they complete projects. Sewing is also a wonderful creative outlet!

All materials included.

Typical projects include:

• Hot/cold pack
• Scrunchie
• Lanyard
• Chapstick holder
• Notebook cover
• Fleece hat
• Zipper pouch
• Drawstring backpack
• Pillow
• Headband

They will learn:

• Threading the machine
• Cutting fabric
• Pinning
• Control of the fabric in the sewing machine
• Keeping an accurate seam allowance
• Putting in a zipper
• Sewing with different kinds of fabric

Please be sure you can make all dates. There are no make up classes.
