I cannot believe how thoroughly I enjoyed the beginner sewing classes, how much I both learned and accomplished in four two-hour lessons, and how head-over-heels I am for a hobby I never thought I’d be this smitten with. I went from having never sat at a sewing machine before to making three projects I’m mighty proud of—and already using!Becky is a phenomenal, hands-on teacher with infinite patience and a wealth of knowledge she readily shares. She’s clearly well-versed in teaching to a roomful of learning styles and previous experiences (or total lack thereof) while making a whole new skill wholly accessible. I’m definitely someone who needs to know the why and the next step I’m moving toward when I’m learning new things, and the one-on-one instructions, guidance and explanations I got in this class were so good at clarifying any questions I had. And I never felt like I was asking too many questions, which went a long way in how comfortable and confident I got to feel wading deeper into unfamiliar waters.Everything about these classes was a delight, right on down to the immaculate vibes of my classmates, easy parking in a great location, and getting to experience the absolute treat of a roomful of sewing machines humming in harmony and the laser focus of a flow state. This might’ve been my first sewing class but there’s no way it’ll be my last.

Love this studio. I have taken the beginner class and now the skirt sewing course. The instructor is calm, talented, patient, and smart. I will be taking another class soon. I always wanted to sew but didn't know how to start. So happy I have.

I have had classes in the past with Miss Becky. She is a talented, personable and patient instructor . Becky is community oriented. One would need to search the world to find Becky's equivalent. Not only an instructor, but a friend forever and day.

Ladies Sew Date (07.02.23) at The Sewing Studio was FANTASTIC!!! Becky guided us to completing a tote bag while we chatted about small businesses, indulged in charcuterie and ooo'd & ahhh'd over a bustier that was on a mannequin. It was a 25-minute ride from Philly and well worth the trip! A parking lot is in the rear as well as street parking. Thanks, Becky!

Becky is knowledgeable and a patient teacher; she is definitely an expert! I started with Beginners class a few months ago and I take what is available for adults as an ongoing hobby project. It’s challenging and rewarding as I continue to learn different sewing skills. I look forward enthusiastically to each session and surprise myself as I pick up the skill incrementally. It’s enjoyable and fulfilling.

I took the 4-week beginner’s sewing class, and I enjoyed it very much! The instructor is VERY good teacher! She is patient, kind, non-judgmental, and knowledgeable. I made an ice pack, a tote bag, and pajama pants for my son. Check out the pics of the pants! I plan on taking additional courses at The Sewing Studio. 🙂

I started with the beginners class. We completed 3 projects in 4 weeks. It was so fun that most of us in the class decided to take the next class and we made a denim jacket. I cannot believe I was actually able to make it and it turned out great. Becky is incredibly patient, juggling students with varying skills. She never makes you feel incompetent or insecure. She just bounces from table to table providing clear instruction. It was a fun experience!

Becky is a phenomenal teacher who goes above and beyond to help her students achieve their sewing goals. I am making a corset belt, something that neither of us have done before. She went the extra mile and made a corset belt of my exact same pattern so that if I had any questions or concerns, I could be confident in her answers since she made one herself and knows exactly what to do. That's the mark of a great instructor!

My wife and I have been taking classes with Becky for a year now. She's amazing. The place is super nice, the machines are great, Becky has the patience of a galapagos Tortoise that has been canonized. Highly advise you take lessons here.

Becky is a wonderful teacher and expert seamstress. I could barely sew a straight line when I started, but through classes with Becky I was able to make detailed projects including a skirt for myself. I even made my kids patchwork Christmas stockings this year. Thanks, Becky!

This woman knows her stuff! She is a master teacher and provides so much love, understanding, and comfort. Especially to those who are unfamiliar around the sewing machine. I highly recommend asking her even the silliest of sewing questions.
